The EA0800 is the edger head for EGO's Multi-Head System. Lock it onto a PH1420 power head, drop the guide wheel onto the concrete and walk. The 8 inch blade cuts a clean vertical line where the grass meets the driveway, which is the detail that separates a yard that is mowed from a yard that is finished.
Same warning as every head in this system: this is an attachment. No motor, no battery, no charger, and it mounts only to the EGO PH1400 or PH1420 power head. The 56V ARC Lithium battery that came with your mower kit or blower kit is what powers it once it is mounted.
The Numbers That Matter
8 inch blade. Diameter sets how deep the blade can reach and how well it clears the trench it cuts. Eight inches is the standard for residential edgers and plenty for a concrete driveway edge.
Depth adjustable to 3 inches. The knob is what makes the second pass match the first. Set it shallow for a maintenance pass on an edge you keep up, deeper when you are reclaiming a line that has been buried under turf for two seasons.
Guide wheel. The wheel rides the hard surface and does the steering for you. Without one you are freehanding a straight line down forty feet of driveway, and it shows.
