Straight talk before anything else: this is a product overview, not a review. I do not have a Baton 4 in hand yet. This page is my read of the published specs, and the full hands-on review goes up once I have actually lived with one. Until then, treat everything below as a coach reading the label out loud.
The Spec Read
The headline number is 1,300 lumens of Turbo out of a light that measures 2.48 inches and weighs 1.85 ounces with the battery in it. Turbo steps down as it heats, 1,300 to 600 to 300 lumens, which is how every small hot light works. The more useful numbers live at the bottom of the chart: 60 lumens for 8 hours, 12 lumens for 35 hours, and a 0.5 lumen Moonlight mode rated for 30 days. That last one is the dad setting. Enough to navigate a dark hallway without lighting up the whole house.
It runs a customized 650mAh 16340 cell and charges through Olight's magnetic cable. IPX8 waterproof, aluminum body, side switch with brightness and power indicators. The Premium Edition adds a charging case with a built-in 5000mAh battery that recharges the light about five times, stretches max runtime to a claimed 190 days, and doubles as a USB-C power bank. Olight's store shows 4.9 stars across 3,290 reviews.
Who It Is For
The dad who wants a real light on him every day without noticing the weight. Pocket, keychain, or clipped inside the waistband of the diaper bag, it does not matter at 1.85 ounces. If you are still building out your daily loadout, this is the flashlight slot in my best EDC for dads guide thinking. If you want a light with common batteries and no proprietary charger, this is not that.
The Honest Math
The Standard runs $54.99 and the Premium Edition with the charging case runs $94.99. The titanium version is $129.99 and sold out. Stock is the real catch here. After Action Report
On paper this is the pocket light benchmark: real output, real runtimes, and a weight you will forget about. I am not calling it until I have one in hand, but the spec sheet earns the reputation. Full hands-on review once I have lived with it.
