What Stands Out

  • Upright barrel format takes far less floor area than a reclining tub, which is usually the constraint in a garage or a spare room
  • Same stainless steel construction and ergonomic seating as the larger Stealth Luxe models
  • $1,500 cheaper than the XL at $4,999, or $6,499 bundled with the 1HP chiller and heater
  • Less water to chill than an XL, which means less load on the chiller and lower running cost

What To Check

  • Upright seating is a different experience than lying back. Tall users should check the dimensions before assuming a fit
  • Still a plumbed, powered appliance, not something you drag into place and fill with a hose
  • Barrel format makes entry and exit a step-over, so the step stool is not optional

What This Is

The same stainless Stealth Luxe build in a barrel shape. If the XL is the commercial answer, this is the home answer: you give up the reclined position and get back a large piece of your floor.

Who This Is Actually For

A garage, a back patio, a corner of a finished basement. The footprint is the reason to pick it, and the cheaper chiller load is the reason it costs less to live with.

What To Check First

Water weight, drainage, and a plan for the step in and out. Barrel plunges are a step-over entry, which is worth rehearsing when you are cold, wet and in a hurry.
