What Stands Out

  • Three figures at two sizes, which gives a yard depth instead of one flat focal point
  • Adjustable arms: forward to reach at guests, or out to the side to float
  • The large reaper is 53 inches, big enough to anchor a tree or an entryway
  • Latex, plastic and fabric construction that stores flat and comes back next year
  • Flowing robes catch wind and move on their own, which does more than any motor

What To Check

  • Hanging figures need height and a hook; there is no stake option
  • Fabric robes soak through in rain and hang like wet laundry until they dry
  • Static props, so the movement depends entirely on where you hang them
  • The two small reapers are noticeably less impressive than the large one

What This Is

Three hanging figures that do their work by moving in wind you did not have to pay for.

Hang Them Where The Air Moves

This is the whole trick with fabric props. A reaper under a covered porch in still air is a costume on a hook. The same reaper hanging from a tree limb in an open yard drifts and turns all evening and reads as alive. Find the breeze first, then hang.

Mix The Sizes Front To Back

Put the 53 inch one closest to the street and the two small ones deeper into the yard. Your eye reads the size difference as distance, and a flat front lawn suddenly has depth. That one move costs nothing and does more than another prop would.

The Short Version

Cheap depth. Hang the big one up front and the small ones deep, somewhere the wind actually reaches, and they animate themselves.
