What Stands Out

  • Two projector heads instead of one, so it covers a wider wall or two separate surfaces
  • Both heads rotate 360 degrees independently, which is what lets you hit a garage and a gable at once
  • Four animated patterns: ghosts, skeletons, demons and pumpkins
  • Built-in timer runs 6 hours on, 18 hours off, so it starts itself every night
  • Three mounting options: lawn stake, surface mount or wall screws
  • IP65 waterproof head and a 2 year warranty

What To Check

  • Projection needs a light-colored flat surface; it disappears on dark brick or siding
  • Best range is 10 to 20 feet, so the mounting spot is dictated by geometry, not preference
  • Ambient porch and street light washes it out badly
  • Animated patterns are a short loop and read as repetitive up close

What This Is

The decoration that does the most work for the least setup. One stake in the lawn and a whole wall of the house is moving.

Projectors Live And Die On Your Surface

Before buying any projector, go outside at night and look at what you would aim it at. Light stucco, a white garage door or a pale gable turn into a screen. Dark brick, deep siding or anything with heavy texture eat the image and you will be disappointed.

Then kill the competing light. A porch light or a bright streetlamp on the same wall washes a projector out completely. This is why projectors look amazing in product photos and mediocre in half of real yards.

The Timer Earns Its Keep

Six on, eighteen off means it comes on every evening without anybody remembering. Across a month that is the difference between a display that runs and one that runs on the nights you were home before dark.

The Short Version

Huge effect for one stake in the lawn, but only on a pale flat wall with the porch light off. Check your surface before you buy.
