What Stands Out

  • Reaches the base of a windshield where the dash meets the glass, which no hand gets to
  • 180 degree swivel head keeps the pad flat on steeply raked glass instead of on one edge
  • Extends from 13 to 19 inches, so it works in a sedan and a truck
  • Large 5.7 by 6.1 inch head covers the screen in few passes, which is how you avoid streaks
  • Comes with four microfiber pads, a nano-fiber pad and an empty spray bottle
  • Works dry for fog and condensation as well as wet for grime

What To Check

  • Cleaning fluid is not included despite the bottle
  • A pivoting head needs practice before it stops flipping mid-stroke
  • Awkward in a car with a very deep dash and a steeply raked screen, which is the exact case it is sold for
  • Pads need washing or they just move oil film around

What This Is

The tool for the hazy film on the inside of your windshield that you have been ignoring because you cannot reach it.

That Film Is A Safety Issue, Not A Cosmetic One

Interior glass collects an oily haze from plastics off-gassing in the heat. You do not notice it until you drive into a low sun or face oncoming headlights in the rain, at which point the whole screen scatters light and you genuinely cannot see. Cleaning it is one of the higher-value twenty-minute jobs on a car.

Technique

Overlapping straight passes in one direction, then a dry pad in the other direction. Circles are what make streaks. And wash the pads regularly, because a pad loaded with the film you removed last time just redistributes it.

The Short Version

Fixes the hazy inside windshield that blinds you in low sun. Straight overlapping passes, not circles, and wash the pads.
