What Stands Out

  • Works on a standard garden hose, so there is no pressure washer to buy, store or drag out
  • Six adjustable foam levels, from a light rinse to heavy shaving-cream suds
  • Thick foam lifts and encapsulates grit before anything touches the paint, which is how swirl marks are avoided
  • Attaches in seconds with no tools
  • Works with any car soap rather than a proprietary one
  • Microfiber wash mitt included

What To Check

  • Hose-driven foam is thinner than what a pressure washer makes, and enthusiasts notice
  • Foam quality depends heavily on your water pressure
  • Soap goes much faster than with a bucket
  • Does not replace the two-bucket method; it is a pre-wash step

What This Is

The step most home car washes skip, which is why most home car washes scratch paint.

Why Foam First Actually Matters

Swirl marks are not caused by dirt sitting on a car. They are caused by dragging that dirt across the paint with a mitt. A thick foam layer lifts and suspends the grit so a lot of it rinses away before the mitt ever touches the panel.

That is the entire argument, and it is a real one. If you wash your own car and it has fine spider-web scratches under a streetlight, this is the fix.

Manage Expectations On Foam Thickness

A garden hose makes less pressure than a pressure washer, so the foam is thinner than the videos. It still does the job. If you already own a pressure washer, buy a proper cannon instead; if you do not, this is a far better use of the money than buying one for this alone.

The Short Version

The step that stops you scratching your own paint. Thinner foam than a pressure washer makes, and far cheaper than buying one.
