Product Information, Not A Review

Specs, pricing and buying notes taken from the manufacturer so you can compare this against whatever else you are looking at. I have not had this one in my hands. When it goes through real use it gets rewritten as a full review, with a rating and my own photos.

What Stands Out

  • IP64 rated against dust and splashing water, with an attached cover
  • Supports up to 15A and 1875W, the same as the two-socket version
  • Sunrise and sunset offset scheduling so it tracks the season
  • Alexa and Google Assistant voice control, plus remote control from the app
  • 300 ft WiFi range
  • Cheaper than the dual version when you only have one thing to switch

What To Check

  • One outlet, so adding a second device later means a second plug
  • 2.4 GHz only
  • Cloud-dependent for remote control
  • Bulky enough to block the second socket on a standard outdoor duplex outlet

What This Is

The single-socket version. Same scheduling, same weather rating, less money.

When One Is The Right Number

A string of lights. A water feature. A single inflatable. If you genuinely have one outdoor thing to switch, buying the dual version is paying for a socket that will sit empty for years.

Watch The Footprint

This is a chunky unit, and on a standard outdoor duplex outlet it will likely cover the second socket. If you plan to use both, that is an argument for the two-socket EP40 instead, which solves the problem by being the second socket.

One Rule For Outdoor Plugs

Mount or hang it so water runs off rather than pools on it, and close the cover over the socket when nothing is plugged in. IP64 is a splash rating, not a submersion rating, and standing water will get in eventually.

The Short Version

The right pick when you genuinely have one thing to switch. It is bulky, so it may block the second socket on a duplex outlet.
