Product Information, Not A Review

Specs, pricing and buying notes taken from the manufacturer so you can compare this against whatever else you are looking at. I have not had this one in my hands. When it goes through real use it gets rewritten as a full review, with a rating and my own photos.

What Stands Out

  • Two outlets controlled separately, so the Christmas lights and the pond pump are not on the same switch
  • 15A and 1875W per outlet, which is enough for real outdoor loads rather than just a light string
  • IP64 weather resistance with attached covers for the unused socket
  • Sunrise and sunset offset scheduling, so lights follow the actual season rather than a fixed clock
  • Alexa and Google Assistant voice control plus app control from anywhere
  • 300 ft WiFi range and a 2-year warranty

What To Check

  • 2.4 GHz WiFi only
  • Needs a reliable WiFi signal at the outside outlet, which is where this usually fails
  • Cloud-dependent: no internet means no app control
  • The covers need actually closing or the IP64 rating means nothing

What This Is

The thing that makes outdoor lights stop being a chore, and the quiet companion purchase to everything on the Christmas shelf.

Sunrise And Sunset Offset Is The Feature

A plain timer set in November has the lights coming on an hour after dark by late December, because sunset moves. Scheduling against actual sunset means you set it once in October and never touch it again. That is the whole reason to buy a smart plug over a mechanical timer.

Two Independent Outlets Is The Other One

Inflatables want to run from dusk to bedtime. Eave lights might run later. A pond pump runs all day. One socket forces a compromise; two does not.

Where This Fails

WiFi at an outdoor outlet on the far side of a brick wall. Before ordering, stand where the plug will go and check your phone's signal. If it is weak there, a mechanical timer will serve you better than a smart plug that drops off the network every other night.

The Short Version

Sunset-offset scheduling is why this beats a mechanical timer. Check your WiFi signal where the plug will actually live.
