Specs, pricing and buying notes taken from the manufacturer so you can compare this against whatever else you are looking at. I have not had this one in my hands. When it goes through real use it gets rewritten as a full review, with a rating and my own photos.

What Stands Out

  • Three millimetres thick and an inch wide, roughly double a standard leash
  • Handles sewn directly with nylon thread rather than tied to the cord, which is where cheap leashes let go
  • Padded neoprene main handle plus a traffic handle for close control
  • 360 degree swivel clasp stops the leash twisting as the dog circles
  • Luminous reflective threading for evening walks
  • Two inch heavy clip and a thick D-ring for a poop bag holder or a clicker

What To Check

  • No shock absorption, so a hard lunge goes straight into your arm
  • Six feet with no adjustment: it is a sidewalk leash, not a long line
  • Heavier than a standard leash, which you notice on a small dog
  • Nylon webbing holds odor once it gets wet repeatedly

What This Is

The simple, strong version. No bungee, no stretch, no gadgets. Thick webbing, two handles, and stitching that will not come apart.

Fixed Versus Bungee

A fixed leash gives you precise control and clear communication, which is what you want for training and for a dog that already walks well. A bungee leash saves your joints from a dog that lunges. Both are correct answers to different dogs.

If you are actively training loose-leash walking, buy this one. The stretch in a bungee blurs the feedback the dog is supposed to be learning from.

Look At The Stitching, Not The Rating

Every leash claims a big number. The actual failure point on almost every leash is where the handle attaches, and leashes that tie the handle rather than sew it are the ones that come apart at the worst moment. Sewn with nylon thread is the spec worth checking.

The Short Version

The no-stretch option, and the right one if you are training loose-leash walking. Check the handle stitching, not the strength claim.
