What Stands Out

  • 600D Oxford over waterproof TPU, which stops liquid and resists claws rather than just shedding hair
  • Three configurations: hammock, flat seat and truck mode, so one cover fits most vehicles
  • Mesh window lets you and the dog see and hear each other, which settles an anxious dog considerably
  • Seat belt openings, so a harnessed dog can still be clipped in
  • Nonslip PVE underside plus side flap buckles, anchors and snap buckles, so it stays put
  • Machine washable, hand washable or vacuumable

What To Check

  • Hammock mode makes the back seat unusable for people without removing the cover
  • Full-coverage covers trap heat under them on a hot day
  • Fitting takes real time the first go; watch the video rather than guessing
  • Not a restraint: a cover is not a substitute for a crash-tested harness or crate

What This Is

The thing that stops your back seat becoming a dog bed with a resale penalty. Hair, mud, drool and claw marks are all permanent; a cover is not.

Hammock Mode Is The One To Use

The hammock configuration fills the footwell so the dog cannot slide forward into it under braking. That is not a comfort feature, it is the main safety benefit of a cover like this, and a lot of people run it in flat mode and miss it entirely.

Say This Plainly

A seat cover is not a restraint. In a crash an unsecured dog is a projectile, to itself and to everyone in the car. Use the seat belt openings with a crash-tested harness, or a secured crate. The cover protects your upholstery; the harness protects the dog.

The Short Version

Run it in hammock mode so the dog cannot slide into the footwell. It protects your seats; a crash-tested harness protects the dog.
