Product Information, Not A Review

Specs, pricing and buying notes taken from the manufacturer so you can compare this against whatever else you are looking at. I have not had this one in my hands. When it goes through real use it gets rewritten as a full review, with a rating and my own photos.

What Stands Out

  • Cuttable and extendable, which the previous generation was not: you fit the house instead of fitting the house to the kit
  • Up to 50 lm per light with anti-glare lenses and a 2700K to 6500K white range, so it works as everyday accent lighting too
  • 75 scene modes and 16 million colors, which covers Christmas, Halloween orange, team colors and the Fourth
  • IP67 lights with an IP65 control box, rated from -4F to 140F and up to 50,000 hours
  • Installs with VHB adhesive and clips in roughly 8 seconds per light
  • Matter, Alexa and Google Assistant support

What To Check

  • This is a real install: a ladder, a full afternoon, and a permanent commitment to the placement
  • The adhesive is unforgiving; a light placed wrong does not come off cleanly
  • The adapter is indoor-rated only, so you need an indoor or garage termination point
  • Costs many times what a season of string lights costs, and only pays back over years
  • A line of fixtures on your eaves is visible year-round whether lit or not

What This Is

The end of hanging Christmas lights. You spend one afternoon on a ladder in good weather, and then for the next ten years the holidays are a tap on your phone.

The Argument Is Not Really About Christmas

A string of lights is a Christmas product. This is an exterior lighting system that happens to do Christmas. Warm white at 2700K most of the year makes the house look finished. Orange in October. Red, white and blue in July. Your team's colors on a Saturday. That is what justifies the price, not the December use.

Cuttable Is The Upgrade That Matters

Earlier permanent-light kits came in fixed segments, which meant your house either matched their lengths or you had awkward leftovers and gaps. Cutting and splicing to your actual roofline is the difference between looking installed and looking improvised.

Go In Knowing It Is Permanent

VHB adhesive is not repositionable in any practical sense. Measure the run, chalk a line, decide the setback (2 to 4 inches off the wall), and commit. This is the one product on this shelf where an hour of planning saves a season of looking at something slightly crooked.

The Short Version

Buy it for the other eleven months as much as for December. Cuttable is the real upgrade; plan the run carefully, because the adhesive is permanent.
