Product Information, Not A Review

Specs, pricing and buying notes taken from the manufacturer so you can compare this against whatever else you are looking at. I have not had this one in my hands. When it goes through real use it gets rewritten as a full review, with a rating and my own photos.

What Stands Out

  • 100 feet, which covers the front of most single-story houses and nothing more, honestly priced for that
  • 16 million colors and 100 scene modes with app scheduling, so it runs itself while you are away
  • IP67 waterproof with an IP65 control box and adapter, rated -4F to 140F
  • VHB glue, clips, screws and adapter buckles all in the box
  • Alexa, Google Assistant, Music mode and DreamView

What To Check

  • Cannot be cut, so your roofline has to work with fixed segments
  • Capped at 9 light segments and 4 extension cables
  • Not compatible with the original Permanent Outdoor Lights or the Elite, so you cannot mix generations
  • Dimmer than the Pro and without the wide white temperature range

What This Is

The entry point into permanent lighting. Same idea as the Pro, less length, less brightness, and a fixed-segment design.

Measure Before You Choose A Length

This is the mistake people make. Walk the roofline with a tape, including the returns around a garage and any gable you want lit, and add 15 percent. Coming up 20 feet short on a non-cuttable kit means either a visible gap or buying a second kit.

The Compatibility Warning Is Real

Govee explicitly says the original Permanent Outdoor Lights, the 2, and the Elite do not connect to each other. If you are extending an existing install, check which generation you own before ordering. That incompatibility is the most common complaint about this product line and it is entirely avoidable.

The Short Version

The right size for one single-story elevation. Measure the roofline first, because this one cannot be cut and generations do not mix.
