TriggerPoint GRID 1.0 Foam Roller
Product Information, Not A Review

Quick Specs
What Stands Out
What To Check
The GRID 1.0 is TriggerPoint's original foam roller, a hollow core tube wrapped in EVA foam with a molded surface pattern instead of a smooth skin. It is one of Amazon's top sellers in Foam Rollers.
The idea behind the GRID surface is choice. The flat zones spread pressure out, the ridges narrow it and the small nodules put it into one spot. You pick the texture by rotating the roller, not by buying a second one.
The Numbers That Matter
Hollow core, rated to 300 pounds. The foam sits over a rigid core, which is what TriggerPoint credits for the roller holding its shape, and also why it feels firmer than a standard roller.
13 inches long, 1.1 pounds. Short enough to pack. The tradeoff is width of coverage: across the upper back you roll one side, then the other.
Three textures. Flat, ridged and nodule sections let one roller go from easy on the calves to pointed on the glutes.
| Spec | What it decides |
|---|---|
| Hollow core, 300 lb | Whether it holds up under a big lifter |
| 13 in / 1.1 lb | Whether it fits in a gym bag or needs its own spot |
| Extra firm | Whether it suits a beginner or someone who wants deep pressure |
Who It Is For
The dad who lifts, runs or coaches and wants firm pressure on quads, calves and hips after a hard session, in a roller small enough to keep in the truck. If you want something gentler, the 321 STRONG massage roller is the medium density option. For spots a roller cannot reach, like pecs and feet, add a pair of Kieba lacrosse balls.

The Short Version
This is the roller for the lifter who wants firm pressure in a size that travels. I would point a dad who trains hard and wants one roller for the gym bag and the living room floor here first. If rolling is new to you, start with something softer.
