Trifecta Meal Delivery

I used Trifecta in the past, and I am telling you that up front. What they get right is the thing that decides whether your nutrition works at all: keeping you consistent.

What I Like

  • The macro balance is the thing Trifecta does best: protein, carbs, and fat handled for you in every meal, which is exactly where most people go wrong on their own.
  • Great for athletes. Per Trifecta, each dish runs 350 to 500 calories with 20 to 40 grams of protein, which is the right shape for a training day.
  • Great for convenience. The meals arrive cooked and ready to eat, which removes the daily decisions that break most diets.
  • A plan for most camps: Clean, Keto, Paleo, Whole30 Friendly, high protein vegetarian and vegan, plus a Meal Prep option where you pick your own proteins, veggies, and carbs.

What I Don't

  • Roughly $105 to $119 a week is real money. You are paying for the cooking and the decisions, not just the food.
  • If you already meal prep every Sunday and actually stick to it, you are the person who needs this least.
  • Prepared meals buy you convenience, not cooking skill. If you never learn to build a plate yourself, you are renting the habit instead of owning it.
  • I used it in the past, not currently, so I cannot vouch for today's menu firsthand. That is also why this review runs without a star rating.

Straight up front: I do not currently use Trifecta. I used it in the past, and I am not a current subscriber. Trifecta had no involvement in this review: they did not ask for it, they saw nothing before it published, and they get no say in a word of it. I am writing it because I am familiar enough with the service to give you an honest take on who it is for, and because the thing Trifecta does well is the thing I talk about with athletes more than anything else.

You will also notice there is no star rating on this one. That is on purpose. Numbers on this site come from gear that is currently in my hands, and I am a past customer here, not a current one. So this review runs unrated, and you get my reasoning instead of a score.

What Trifecta Is

Prepared, ready-to-eat meals delivered weekly. Not kits, not chopping, not forty minutes at the stove. Heat and eat. Their pitch is "all the benefits of meal prep, none of the effort," and that is an accurate description of the product.

The plans, at their current weekly prices: Clean, Keto, Paleo, and Whole30 Friendly at $110.99. High Protein Vegetarian and High Protein Vegan at $104.93. Signature Meals at $119, and a Meal Prep plan at $119 where you pick your own proteins, veggies, and carbs. Per Trifecta, each dish lands between 350 and 500 calories with 20 to 40 grams of protein, macro balanced and low sodium, built by chefs and dietitians with an MD health director and a registered dietitian on the team. On sourcing, they claim organic ingredients and grass-fed and wild-caught proteins. Those are their words, not my lab tests, but they tell you where the company is aiming.

The Macro Balance Is the Main Thing

If you ask me what Trifecta is actually great at, it is this: a good balance across the three macros. Protein, carbs, and fat, handled for you, meal after meal.

That sounds simple. It is not. Most people can train hard for an hour. Very few can consistently build a plate with enough protein and a sane amount of carbs and fat, every meal, every day, while life is happening. Protein comes up short, carbs and fat quietly fill the gap, and the scale tells the story a month later. That plate-building skill takes years to develop, and it is the skill Trifecta is selling you a shortcut around. When every dish lands in a predictable range, hitting your day is arithmetic instead of guesswork.

Great for Athletes, Great for Convenience

Those are my other two takeaways, and they go together. Trifecta leans hard into the athlete market: they push a Team Nutrition program, their site shows USA Weightlifting among the logos, and they were featured on the Netflix series You Are What You Eat. That is their resume, not mine, and I do not put much stock in logos. But the positioning matches the product. A dish with that much protein in that calorie range is the right shape for a training day. This is food built around protein and training, not a foodie subscription with a fitness sticker on it.

And the convenience is not a side benefit next to the nutrition. The convenience is the nutrition. The meals show up cooked. No shopping, no chopping, no Sunday afternoon lost to a scale and twelve containers. For a dad with a full schedule, opening the fridge and grabbing a finished meal that already fits your macros is the difference between a plan you follow and a plan you talk about.

Whatever Keeps You Consistent Wins

Here is my actual coaching thesis, and it is the most important paragraph in this review. Whatever keeps an athlete consistent is the most important thing in nutrition. Not the perfect diet. Not the optimal one. The one you will actually do, week after week.

I own Black Iron Athletics, a gym in Frisco, Texas, and if you coach long enough you learn that nutrition plans almost never fail because the macros were wrong. They fail because the person stopped following them, and it is usually the same kind of night that does it: trained hard, got home late, nothing prepped, kids hungry, drive-thru wins. Every food decision you have to make at the end of a long day is a chance to fall off. A service that removes those decisions is not a luxury. It is a consistency tool.

You can out-train a lot of things. You cannot out-train inconsistency. If cooking keeps you consistent, cook. If tracking keeps you consistent, track. And if a box of cooked, macro-balanced meals showing up every week is what keeps you consistent, then Trifecta is doing the most important job in nutrition for you, and I will not pretend that is a small thing just because I no longer subscribe.

The Honest Math

Depending on the plan, you are spending roughly $105 to $119 a week. What that works out to per meal depends on how many meals you put in the box, but any way you slice it, that is real money, and you can absolutely feed yourself the same macros for less with a bulk pack of chicken, a rice cooker, and discipline. The whole question is whether the discipline shows up every week. If you already meal prep every Sunday and actually stick to it, keep doing that. You are the person who needs this least, and consistency you already have is free.

But if your plan keeps dying in the gap between knowing and doing, you are not really buying food here. You are buying back the decisions, and the drive-thru and the abandoned plan have costs too. They are just hidden.

If you want to try it, as of September 2026 the code 50BONUS gets 50 percent off a first order plus free high-protein brownies through our Trifecta link. Codes rotate, so check what is live when you order.

After Action Report

Trifecta is great at the three things I care about as a coach: balanced macros, built for athletes, and convenient enough that you actually stay on it. Whatever keeps you consistent is the most important thing in nutrition, and a fridge full of cooked, macro-balanced meals keeps more athletes consistent than another perfect plan they will not follow. I used it in the past, I do not subscribe today, and it runs unrated because numbers on this site come from current hands-on time.
