The Clip 5 is the small one in JBL's portable lineup: a speaker with a carabiner built into the body rather than hung off it. Amazon shows it with a Choice badge and ranked near the top of portable Bluetooth speakers, which fits a thing this easy to buy on the way to the lake.
The appeal for a dad is that it never needs packing. Clip it to the tackle box in March and it is still there in September.
Water and fit note. IP67 covers immersion, which is the right rating for a speaker riding on a boat or a kayak. Waterproof is not the same as buoyant. Over deep water, keep it clipped to something that floats or something attached to the boat.
