Product Information, Not A Review

Specs, pricing and buying notes taken from the manufacturer so you can compare this against whatever else you are looking at. I have not had this one in my hands. When it goes through real use it gets rewritten as a full review, with a rating and my own photos.

What Stands Out

  • Four positions: facing-in narrow, facing-in wide, facing-out and back carry
  • Covers 8 to 32 lbs, which is newborn through most of the second year
  • Convertible seat width, so you are not buying an infant insert separately
  • Padded shoulder straps and a supportive waist belt to move load off your shoulders
  • Adjustable head support for smaller babies
  • Cheap enough that a second one for the other car is a real option

What To Check

  • Less structured than a premium carrier, and you feel it on hours-long wear
  • Waist belt adjustment is coarse; partners of very different sizes will be refitting it constantly
  • Facing-out is only appropriate once a baby has solid head and neck control
  • Fabric is warm, which matters in a Texas summer

What This Is

The entry point into babywearing, and the one most people should start with before deciding whether they need a $200 carrier.

Why Start Here

Babywearing suits some families enormously and some barely at all, and you cannot know which you are until you try it. Finding out on a cheap carrier costs very little. If you end up wearing your kid four hours a day, upgrade then, with a much better idea of what you want.

A Word On Facing-Out

Every new parent wants to turn the baby outward and it looks great. Wait until there is genuine head and neck control, keep the sessions short, and watch for the overstimulation that usually follows. Facing-in is the default for a reason; facing-out is an occasional treat.

The Short Version

The right carrier to find out whether babywearing suits you, before spending real money on one that might sit in a closet.
