What Stands Out

  • Three physical buttons with no app, WiFi or Bluetooth to set up
  • Rated at up to 15 hours per charge, and it keeps playing while charging
  • Built in ring clips to a stroller, a carrier or a diaper bag
  • 10 sounds including white noise, hush, heartbeat and ocean
  • Described by the brand as drop proof and drool friendly, made using recycled materials

What To Check

  • Hatch does not publish dimensions, weight or a decibel range for the Go
  • The 15 hour battery figure comes from the listing alone
  • Colors on the listing change over time, so match the colorway to the live page before ordering a specific one
  • This is a different product from the plug in, app driven Rest 2nd Gen and Rest+, so their features do not carry over

The Go is the stripped down Hatch: no lamp, no alarm clock, no app. Ten sounds, three buttons and a ring to clip it to whatever you are already carrying. It is one of the stronger sellers in baby sleep soothers and carries an Amazon's Choice badge.

That simplicity is the point. It is the thing you hand to a grandparent or throw in the diaper bag without walking anybody through a setup screen, and it runs most of a day on a charge.

Keep it out of the crib. Sound machines belong on a dresser or clipped to a stroller frame, not on the mattress, and volume matters more than distance for infant hearing. Keep the charging cable out of the crib entirely.

The Numbers That Matter

10 sounds. Enough variety to find the one your kid settles to, without a menu you have to scroll.

Up to 15 hours. Covers a night plus the next day's naps, and it plays while charging, so plugging it in does not mean silence.

Three buttons. No account, no pairing, no phone. Anybody watching your kid can run it.

USB-C. The same cable as everything else in the bag.

Who It Is For

The dad whose kid sleeps at home, at the grandparents' house and in the truck, and who wants the same noise in all three. For the heat on those same outings, the Momcozy stroller fan clips to the frame. For the drive, the Shynerk baby car mirror covers a rear facing seat. Back in the nursery, the HelloBaby HB6550 and the VTech VM819 both skip WiFi entirely.

The Short Version

The nap only happens in the room with the noise, so the noise has to travel. This is the version of a Hatch that clips to a bag, runs most of a day and has nothing to log into. If you want the lamp, the alarm and the app, that is a different Hatch. If you want a kid asleep in the truck on the drive back from the lake, this is the one.
