What Stands Out

  • Patented spring-action rocking works on soft ground, which no rocker with actual runners does

The Seat Height Is The Real Spec

Most camp chairs put you six inches off the ground in a sling, which is fine at 25 and a genuine project at 50 or with a bad knee. A 19.7 inch seat with solid armrests is a chair you stand up out of rather than climb out of.

Rocking On Grass

Chairs with curved runners only rock on a hard flat surface. A spring mechanism rocks anywhere, which is why this works at a campsite and on a sideline rather than only on a patio.

What You Give Up

No cooler, no footrest, lower weight rating. If you want those, the oversized two-packs on this shelf are the trade. This one is lighter, faster to set up and more comfortable to get out of.

The Short Version

The seat height is why you buy it: a chair you stand out of, not climb out of. Spring rocking works on grass, unlike runners.
