I have been giving Duke Cannon my money for years, and the lip balm already earned its own page here, which you can read in my Cannon Balm 140 review. When I wrote out my next buy list, "the newer face wash" went on it, same line as the cooling towels. So let me be straight with you up front: this is a product overview, not a review. I have not washed my face with this yet. What follows is my read of the published label, and the hands-on review comes once I have lived with it.
The Label Read
The Daily Hydrating Face Wash is an 8 oz non-foaming gentle daily cleanser. The label leads with hyaluronic acid for hydration, aloe vera to soothe the skin, and allantoin for moisture retention. The ingredient list also carries niacinamide and Ceramide NG. It is dermatologist tested, with no parabens or sulfates. Scent is not stated on the product page, so I cannot tell you what it smells like until it shows up.
One thing worth knowing before you buy: this is not the only face wash Duke Cannon makes. The lineup also includes a newer Oil Defense Face Wash and a Deep Cleaning Face Scrub, both at the same price. The Daily Hydrating is the everyday gentle option of the three. When my buy list said "the newer face wash," this lineup is what I was pointing at, and this is the daily driver of the bunch.
Who It Is For
Dads who are still washing their face with bar soap, or with nothing. Guys whose skin takes a beating from sun, wind, the gym, and short sleep. The non-foaming, hydration-first formula reads like it is built for that guy, not for the teenager fighting an oil slick. If oil control is your actual problem, the Oil Defense wash exists for a reason, and that would be the smarter pick.
The Honest Math
Fourteen dollars for 8 oz, one time. A subscription drops it to $11.20 per delivery, which is 20% off, if you know you will burn through it. On paper this is a simple, gentle, hydration-first daily wash at a fair price from a brand that has never let me down. It is on my buy list, same line as the cooling towels. Full verdict once it has lived in my bathroom for a while.
