Straight up front: this is a product overview, not a review. I have not used these towels yet. This is my read of the published specs, and the hands-on review comes once I have lived with a pack. What I can tell you honestly is that I am a longtime paying Duke Cannon customer. Their soap, the Bloody Knuckles hand cream, and the Cannon Balm I already reviewed are all bought with my own money, and I told Duke Cannon in writing that the Cold Shower Cooling Field Towels are next on my list to buy and try. So consider this the homework I did before spending my own fifteen bucks.
The Label Read
Each pack is 15 individually wrapped towels in a resealable pouch. The active idea is menthol, which cools skin on contact, backed up by chamomile and cucumber extract to keep it from being harsh. The ingredient list is short and readable: water, glycerin, aloe, chamomile flower extract, cucumber fruit extract, menthol, and hydrolyzed jojoba esters. The towels are double-sided, one texture for exfoliating and one for smoothing, which is more thought than most wipes get.
One honest gap: the brand page does not state the towel dimensions. I am not going to guess at size until I am holding one.
Who It Is For
Here is why they made my list. I train in the morning and then coach, and there is not always a shower between the last set and the first client. My plan is to test these exactly there: the post-training cooldown between coaching blocks, plus the truck in the summer heat. If you are a dad going straight from the garage gym to a kid's practice, or from mowing the lawn to a school pickup, that is the same problem. Same for guys in the field or on a job site. That is the use case on paper. Whether it holds up is what the review is for.
The Honest Math
A single pack is $15.00 for 15 towels, so a dollar a towel. The 3-Pack runs $39.00, six bucks off list, and the 6-Pack is $69.00, which saves $21 and gets you down around 77 cents a towel. After Action Report
On paper this is a menthol cooldown in a wrapper for the gap between training and the next thing on your calendar. I am a paying Duke Cannon customer already and these are next on my list. Full review once I have sweated on a few.
