What This Is
A full-height two-player cabinet built around the Mortal Kombat arcade trilogy, with fourteen games and two complete six-button control decks.
Why Fighting Games Belong On A Cabinet
Of all the arcade genres, fighting games lose the most in translation. Quarter-circle motions and multi-button combinations were designed for a stick with a defined throw and buttons under your fingertips. On a gamepad they are harder; on a keyboard they are a different activity. This is the genre where owning the cabinet changes how the game plays, not just how it feels.
Two Players Is The Point
A single-player cabinet is something you use when you walk past it. A two-player fighting cabinet is something people stand at for an hour. If the room is for hosting, this configuration earns its space far more than a one-stick machine.
Know What Is In The Box
These are the arcade releases, blood and fatalities intact. That was the whole controversy when they launched and it has not changed. Not a criticism of the machine, just worth deciding deliberately rather than discovering it with a seven-year-old at the controls.
Expect To Service The Buttons
Twelve buttons and two sticks across two players is a lot of microswitches, and fighting games hit them hard. They are standard parts and they are cheap and straightforward to replace. Treat that as maintenance on a machine that gets used, not a defect.
The Short Version
The cabinet to pick if two people will use it. Fighting games on a keypad are a different and worse game, which is the entire argument for owning this.
