Quick flag before we get into it: this is a recon report, not a review. I have never opened this box or cooked with anything in it. What follows is a spec read off the published product page. The full review comes after I have it in hand and something on the grill.
The Spec Read
Seven items, SKU AMERICA-250, 8.0 lb shipped. Two sauces: Blues Hog Champions' Blend at 24 oz and Kinder's Gold at 15.3 oz. Two rubs: Heath Riles Competition BBQ Rub at 5 oz and Rufus Teague Steak Rub at 6.2 oz. Then a Grill Masters Club apron, a koozie the page lists as magnetic neoprene with a magnetic backing for grill attachment, and pulling gloves the page describes as heat-resistant cotton liners with nitrile outer gloves. Eight recipes are listed with the box, running from competition-style ribs and pulled pork to smoked brisket, smokehouse beans, cornbread, and reverse-seared tri-tip.
The listing calls the Blues Hog a "World Champion competition circuit sauce" and the Heath Riles rub "Award-winning sweet heat." No competition, year, or category is named on the page, so that is the sauce makers' marketing carried over, not a checkable credential. Same for the Kinder's Gold, described as a Carolina-style mustard sauce, and the Rufus Teague, described as beef-forward with real ground coffee depth. Those are flavor pitches, not specs.
Where the page goes quiet matters more. The apron gets durable, water-resistant, and pit-ready, with no size, no dimensions, and no fabric named. Water-resistant with no material behind it is just an adjective. The koozie lists no can size and no magnet strength, so whether it fits a slim can or a 16 ounce is a guess. The gloves list no size, no pair count, and no heat rating, and nitrile gloves are a consumable, so pair count is the number that would actually matter.
No ingredient list, allergen statement, or best-by date shows up on the bundle page for any of the four consumables. That is worth knowing before you hand it to somebody, since one of the two sauces is mustard-based.
The page calls it a limited-edition collection tied to America's 250th anniversary, with no edition size, no production run number, and no end date attached to it. Nothing there can be checked.
The page also shows 5.0 stars and 100 percent would recommend. That is three reviews. Three out of three is not a sample.
Who It Is For
The appeal is simple: you pay once, and nobody gets a recurring charge they forgot about. That is the real split between this and the Grill Masters Club monthly subscription I already wrote a recon on. Same company, different commitment. If you are shopping a birthday and want it handled in one click, it sits in the same lane as the picks in my EDC gift guide for dad.
Who it is not for: the guy with a shelf of sauces already, or anyone who only wants one of these four brands. All four sell full size elsewhere, so the bundle only wins if you want the whole set plus the apron. The packaging is also heavily patriotic, which is fine as a gift and also dates it.
The Honest Math
$84.99 against a $99.99 compare-at. Roughly 50.5 oz of consumables from brands that typically retail in the $10 to $18 range pencils out to somewhere around $45 to $60 of sauce and rub. The apron, koozie, and gloves are the unquantified rest; the page never breaks out component values. Free US shipping on an 8 lb box is worth real money.
Returns are the flag. One-time products are case-by-case at company discretion, with a 10 percent restocking fee and buyer-paid return shipping on an 8 lb box. Opened sauce is realistically not going back, and no warranty is stated on the apron, koozie, or gloves. Grill Masters Club is the curator here, not the manufacturer, so the four sauces and rubs are somebody else's product with somebody else's label on them.

The soft spots are the unspecified apron, koozie, and gloves, a 5.0 rating built on three reviews, and a return policy that is discretionary. The verdict waits until I have cooked with it.
